Just a friendly reminder about social media: a lot of the time people are only posting the good and exciting highlights of their lives. It’s hard to not get caught up in the comparison game and think that everyone lives a perfect life and that we are alone in our daily struggles and ruts. For my page, I like it to be a place of positivity, humor and motivation. I love sharing my life and things that I love. So mostly you will find that positivity here but I also want to be real and speak what’s on my heart when I feel nudged to do so.
For instance.... I am all about being positive but some days I find myself in a mood that I just can’t shake. I love being a mom but some days I don’t even know what day it is, my house is a mess and I would kill for some adult interaction. I love to get all dolled up but majority of the time I’m working from home in sweats, my ugly grey robe and cheetah slippers. I love my husband but I don’t always feel the mushy stuff I post about him 24/7. I love being being healthy but sometimes I like to chow down on pizza and have a cocktail or two. I’m all about body positivity but sometimes I let my insecurities get the best of me. I love Jesus but I also love rap music and sometimes I swear. 🤐
Like this picture right here. Was I just casually hanging out on my kitchen island with my daughter? Ummmm no I just liked this shirt from Pink Lily Boutique and wanted to share it with y’all! So when you are scrolling through social media, looking at all the pretty pictures and catch yourself getting caught up in the comparison game, remember you are your own unique person and you are never alone with any struggle that you go through!! There is no such thing as perfect and we are all just human AF.
